Eishockey Young Star Games; 21/22 november 2009 The Piccolo Competition Young Star Games will excite the young and the young at heart when they take place again this year in Engelberg’s Sporting Park. EHC Engelberg Titlis will host the Piccolos from the EHC Visp (the defending champs) and other guest teams from SC Bern Future, EHC Burgdorf, HC Davos, EHC Aarau, BEO Ost and Maddogs Mannheim. 5. St. Nicholas procession with market
27 november 2009 The parade heralding the arrival of St. Nicholas also marks the coming of Christmas and lends the town of Engelberg a festive and cheery holiday atmosphere. The ‚Samichlaus’ arrives into town at around 7:30 p.m. Bide your time before Samichlaus’ appearance by strolling through the Christmas Market, which takes place at and around the Viktoriagärtli (Viktoria Square) from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. It’s a good place to find local and regional products, expert craftwork and simple homemade items.
