Listen to the infectious ‚Guggen’ Music bands play up at Hotel Trübsee in the afternoon and down at the base station at the Chalet for après ski—Guggen-Music sounds like a high school marching band—on a bad day?! —but it’s sure to get you into the Mardi Gras mood!

Brunni Fasnacht (Mardi Gras) & Parade, 13 February 2010 This year’s traditional parade will take place on 13 February 2010 at 8:00 p.m.  Funny and fearsome costumed figures will wind along the Dorfstrasse toward the Kurpark (Town Park)—where the reveling will continue on into the night. This year’s Fasnacht badge (=Plakette) was created by local artist José de Nève, and can be purchased at the Brunni Cableway base station. Save your badge until Plaketten-Day on 5 June 2010—it will be good for a free round-trip ride that day on the cable car.

4. Engelberg-Titlis Ski School
Snow Sports Show, 10 & 17 February 2010

It’s time again for the Swiss Ski School of Engelberg-Titlis to let its students reveal their talents. Skits and performances put on by students from all levels will take place on the 10th and 17th of February 2010 at 7:30 p.m.  A DJ will provide added entertainment and there will be a refreshment bar with drinks and snacks. Additionally, there will be a new contest with super prizes!

5. Yodeler concert, 19 February 2010

Listen to new sounds and old familiar melodies at Engelberg’s monastery church on Friday, 19 February 2010 starting at 8:00 p.m. Engelberg’s Yodeler Club and the yodeler group ‚Bärgröseli’ of Alpnachstad—plus other musical guests—invite you to a ‚heavenly’ evening of enchanting music and unique atmosphere!

The Zipfel Bobsled Kids Challenge up at Lake Trübsee is the ultimate winter sport fun for kids and their families. Win a cool Zipfel bobsled!

9. Brunni Cableway
three-time winner in the 2009 summer tests

Brunni Cableway was the three-time winner in the 2009 international summer tests. The cable car company won ‚gold’ for its mountain attractions. In Pertisau am Achensee an international jury awarded the prizes to a delegation from Engelberg on Thursday, 14 January 2010. Additionally, Brunni Cableway won awards for the best attractions for kids, and also for fun and creativity with the ‚Felsenputzer’ campaign.
