2. Swiss Snow Walk & Run; 6 March 2010

After Arosa and Leysin now it’s Engelberg’s turn for the Swiss Snow Walk & Run. There’s the perfect stretch for every participant—short, long, crazy, serious—you’ll find the one suited to you! Enjoy the magnificent surroundings of Engelberg while enjoying the unforgettable Swiss Snow Walk & Run Event.

Late registration
For those who decide at the last minute to participate, you can still sign up on the 6th of March at the Sporting Park Information Counter. Late registration is between 8:00 and 10:15 a.m. There’s an added late registration fee of 10 CHF.

3. SnowXbikes Experience;. 13 &14 March 2010

What an adrenaline rush! Cruise around the bike parcourse at Hotel Trübsee on electric SnowXbikes. Get your free ‚rider’s license’ from the bike officer up on the Hotel Trübsee sun terrace. The event will take place in front of Hotel Trübsee from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. ‚Muotathaler Wetterschmöcker’—the Weather Prophets of Muotathal, 19 March 2010

Listen to these seasoned weather prognosticators as they tell—in their special dialect—stories, funny anecdotes and jokes about their special gift for predicting the weather. How do they do it? What signs of Nature do they pay attention to? One things is for sure: each one of these weather prophets has his own set of rules and tips.

5. Winter Tales, 19 & 20 March 2010

Listen to Engelberg local, Robi Kuster, tell mystical tales and all about local folklore. Enjoy the wonderful fresh air as you go on a guided snowshoe tour, and warm your fingertips and toes at the campfire as you enjoy a cup of Glühwein (mulled wine). Cheese fondue and dessert at a cozy Alpine restaurant will renergize your body and soul. It’s an exciting evening in the surroundings of magical mountain scenery. The hike begins at 4:45 p.m. and goes until 9:00 p.m.

6. Titlis Fire Ride – the longest torchlight descent in the world;
27 March 2010

Be part of the longest torchlight descent of the world, which will cover a stretch of 12 km (from Titlis down to Engelberg) with an altitude difference of 2,000 meters! Enthusiasts and experienced skiers & boarders are welcome to participate in keeping this world record!
