| 2. Cross-Country Skiing in Engelberg
Snap on your cross-country skiis and swiftly glide over the groomed trails either classic-style (41 km) or skating ( 39 km). The cross-country fun is for free in Engelberg.
Kidz Biathlon, 16 January 2010
The starting gun for the competition will sound at 5:00 p.m. Cheer on our young talents—up-and-coming champion athletes who will compete in age divisions, and who will give their best in the cross-country and shooting events.
Cross-country Night Sprint - 27 Januar 2010
Competitions will take place near the ski jumping areal behind the Sporting Center starting at 6:30 p.m. Athletes will complete several rounds to win or place.
At the end of the competition there will be a spaghetti dinner held at the Sporting Park for all of the cross-country athletes, their fans and spectators. |

| 3. Candlelight Swim, 8 January 2010
Quiet romantic hours at the Sonnenberg Swimming Pool. Recover from everyday stress by enjoying a relaxing swim by candlelight and soft music. Additionally, Markus Bienz and Michael Portmann will offer neck/shoulder massages. Admission, cocktail and massage all for only SFr 15,-- .

| 4. 32nd annual Three Kings Concert, 9 January 2010, 8:15 p.m. at the Monastery Church
This year’s motto: ‚Monks meditate—Musicians wander—Angels rejoice!’

| 5. FIS Ski Races at Jochpass, 11 & 12 January 2010
On Monday the 11th and Tuesday the 12th of January 2010, the FIS Ski Races will take place up at Jochpass. The best of Switzerland’s up-and-coming ski talents and several skiers from other countries will have a chance to improve their FIS standing on the challenging Jochpass slopes.
Expect some exciting competition and be there on both days for the excitement starting at 9:30 a.m.

| 6. Winter Tales, 22 January 2010
Listen to Engelberg local, Robi Kuster, tell mystical tales and all about folklore near the Fürenalp. Enjoy the wonderful fresh air as you go on a guided snowshoe tour, and warm your fingertips and toes at the campfire while you enjoy a cup of Glühwein (mulled wine). Cheese fondue and dessert at a cozy Alpine restaurant will renergize your body and soul. The hike begins at 4:45 p.m.

| 7. Carlsberg Sledding Trophy, 31 January 2010
Mark your calendars for the 31st of January 2010 when the Carlsberg Sledding Trophy takes place. The fun race promises to be full of action, competitive spirit and just plain fun! There’ll be live entertainment (provided by the Steven Bailey Band) and good food, too.
