Chalet Espen

Chalet Espen is a characterful chalet located close to the main cable car station in Engelberg, with beautiful views all around.

The original chalet building is one of the oldest in Engelberg, dating back to the 1700s. The chalet was extended in the last century and we have recently renovated and refurbished it to a very high standard. We have a total of nine bedrooms, seven with modern en-suite bathrooms, a large but cosy lounge with log fire, and an atmospheric dining room in the original part of the chalet. We also have a large sunny garden with patio and outside seating, and car parking for guests.

Chalet Espen is open throughout the year. The whole chalet can be booked for the exclusive use of a single group or family, or individual rooms in the chalet may be booked by guests travelling separately or in smaller groups. Children are welcome. In the Winter ski season, from December to April, we normally accommodate guests for a week (Sunday to Sunday) on a half board basis. At other times of the year shorter stays are possible (minimum 3 nights) and we offer a choice of bed and breakfast or half board (Summer prices from CHF 75 per person per night).

Overall, we aim to offer unique accommodation, in a relaxed and friendly environment, with high standards of service and great facilities, at a reasonable price.
