| Walk-in: | From the top station of the chairlift, by the Brunni SAC Hut follow the blue-white way-markings: "Rigidal-Klettersteig", then at 1,860m take the blue-white-blue marked way or climb the via ferrata on the Brunnistöckli to Schonegg.
Now take a left on to the brow of the Wiesen, go uphill over that, and then over the hillock with the lovely name "Uf den Stucklenen"(2,180m). The way-markings take you through boulders on to the sheer slope under the south ridge of the Rigidalstock to the climb (2,380m sign) Cable protection over a comfortable ledge, where you take a right, up to the start of the ridge. Then through a gully with the crux right at the beginning, and back again to the edge of the ridge. Continue on this, straight to the actual summit face. Now uphill over cable-protected stepped rocks to a compact, approx. 30 metre high and relatively steep slab, easily accomplished on iron stirrups. Then uphill to the left of the cable on to a scree ridge, up over this on a short track in short turns to the notched ridge, and then again with cable protection an easy outing to the cross at the summit. |
