Brunni – various hiking routes in unique countryside

Live and experience: The Brunni trail leads the way through a mountain homeland. The Rugghubel hut is just as worth discovering as the Walen trail, the tickle path or the Kneipp trail.

Hiking on Brunni
Walen Trail (difficult):
Ristis – Hüttismatt – Alp Rosenbold or Brunnihütte SAC – Alp Rosenbold – Walenalp – Walegg – Alp Oberfeld – Urnerstafel – Chrüzhütte – Oberrricken-bach (1610 m – 890 m; 3 h 30 min)

Lovely high ridge walk, with surprising discoveries in the world of fauna, flora and geology. Enjoy the unique Engelberg mountain world, the secretive Walenstöcke and the incredible views into the distance, and take a rest at the Schweizer-Familien picnic area. Only suitable for the sure-footed.

Brunnipfad (easy / medium):
Round trip from Ristis or Brunni Hut (Ristis – Rosenbold – Brunnihütte SAC – Holzstein– Rigidalstafel – Ristis; 1610 m – 1860 m; 2 – 2 h 30 min)

12 large information boards on the «Brunni-Pfad» explain nature and the lives of men and animals in the mountains. For those interested in botany, there are over 100 types of plants, all marked and described, along the Panorama Circular Route. A number of Swiss wood sculptors created works of art during the "Artifex Montanaus" campaign together with the Brunni railways, and these works are on show along the route. It is very suitable for groups, schools and families and even in wet weather is easy to walk along.
