Engelberg is located in an exclave of the canton of Obwalden in Central Switzerland, just 30 minutes by car from Lucerne.
Engelberg-Titlis is just a 75-minute drive from Basel, Berne and Zurich. Take the A2 motorway from Lucerne in the direction of Stans-Süd and exit after a few kilometres. A smooth road will then take you through the scenic Alpine landscape to Engelberg, 1,050 m above sea level.
Trains leave Lucerne for Engelberg hourly (at six minutes past the hour) all year round, and every half hour during the peak season. The journey time is 47 minutes.
By plane from Zurich, Basel or Geneva airport
Travel by train, taxi or (hire) car. On Fridays and Saturdays during the winter months, a shuttle bus operates between Zurich airport and Engelberg.

How do I get around in Engelberg?
A network of local buses operates within Engelberg during the winter months. In the summer, a bus takes guests from the railway station and the village to all the cableways. Travel on local buses is free.
Where can I find information about which facilities are open?
You can access the current winter and summer sports reports daily from 8 a.m. either through our website or with the iEngelberg-Titlis app. These reports contain all the important information of the day, including which lifts, ski slopes, hiking trails, etc. are open.
How much does a ticket cost?

Where can I buy tickets for the railways and cableways?
Tickets for the ski lifts can be bought at the respective valley stations of TITLIS, Brunni and Fürenalp. Tickets for the Brunni and/or TITLIS areas can also be purchased at the station or at the Tourist Center.
What are the main railways and cableways of Engelberg-Titlis?
The TITLIS is the largest of the three and lies at the foot of the famous Titlis mountain 3,238 m above sea level. A journey on the Titlis Rotair – the world’s first revolving cable car – is a unique experience. In summer, the Titlis glacier is home to the Snow Fun Park. The Titlis and Joch Pass areas also contain many hiking and biking trails and plenty of ski slopes just waiting to be explored.
The Brunni lies on the opposite, south-facing side of the valley. This region offers spectacular views of the Titlis and a huge range of attractions, especially for families. In winter, the Klostermatte is ideally suited to children and beginner skiers and snowboarders.
The Fürenalp-Bahn glides over the impressive cliff faces of the Fürenalp. This area is reserved for hikers and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

What terms and conditions apply when booking with Engelberg-Titlis Tourismus AG?
The applicable terms and conditions depend on your chosen accommodation and date of arrival. For holiday apartments and package deals, you will normally be required to pay a deposit within ten days of making the booking, and the outstanding amount up to 30 days prior to arrival. In the case of last-minute bookings, the full amount will need to be paid in a single credit card payment. For hotel bookings, payment is generally made at the hotel (see also the section on credit card guarantees).
When booking a hotel room, why must I leave my credit card details?
A valid credit card is required by hotels as a guarantee of the reservation. Your credit card will not be charged by the hotel, only verified. The payment will be processed directly at the hotel either during or after your stay, unless otherwise stated on the information provided by the hotel.
Will the hotel require an advance payment or deposit?
Most of the hotels do not require payment of a deposit. If they do, it will be stipulated in the information provided by the hotel, with further details.
Can I cancel my booking free of charge?
