Summer & Winter

This bustling Alpine village offers a wide range of holiday activities ideal for families, novices, keen amateurs and professionals – turning every stay into an unforgettable experience.

Diegisbalm - Oberalp

Your hike starts either in the valley, between Grafenort and Engelberg, or with a leisurely cableway ride up to Diegisbalm. The path from the valley leads up to Diegisbalm (935 m a.s.l.) through woodland. Once you get to the top, it’s worth taking a visit to the Wyrsch family farm, where you can purchase homemade honey and meat. You can then take the cableway directly back down to the valley. But if you still have plenty of energy, you can continue hiking to Oberalp, a walk of around one hour and ten minutes. Once you reach Oberalp, at 1,413 m a.s.l., you are rewarded with a wonderful view across the whole of the Engelberg valley. The Arnold family, who farm the meadows here, also have produce for sale.
