Bettlerstock is a 50 meter high, free-standing rock spire at the foot of the Rigidalstock. This prominent rock formation is located just a short distance from the Brunni Lodge, which is 1 km south of the rock. Over twenty years ago Bettlerstock attracted climbers who established the first climbing trails in the south face.

On the west flank, the spire leans toward a low, massive face. In the 1990s, its south and east faces became popular climbing areas, outfitted with a dozen or so trails scalable with ropes. Suddenly a climber’s paradise was created - its sunny location and pleasant conditions in winter make it attractive to many for ski season climbing.
