A series of challenging (difficult grade) trails connects the two very steep west and south faces here. Climbing the southwest column of the Schlossberg (a 1000 m high rock wall) counts as a difficult challenge. Slightly shorter trails (am Gendarm) also provide exciting climbing possibilities in this varied cliff terrain. All of the routes on the main face are long, difficult-grade climbing trails. The simplest trail leading to the peak is on the southface via the Schlossberg Gap (Schlossberglücke).
