Nidwalden native Marco Odermatt is a rising star in the Alpine skiing scene. He is considered by many to be a likely successor to Marcel Hirscher, known as “the best Alpine skier in history”. His skiing career takes Marco around the world, but he never forgets where he came from.

"I love to spend the day skiing in Engelberg. Even in summer, the views, the snow, and the Titlis glacier are a wonderful place to be."

Titlis: "The views from the Titlis are dope," says Marco Odermatt. At 3,020 metres above sea level, the Titlis is worth a visit at any time of year. If you want to avoid the crowds, hike the well-maintained trail across the glacier to Stotzig Egg. In clear conditions you will have views of the Valais Alps, the Bernese Oberland, and even as far as the Black Forest.
