The passion of Josef Durrer for his Buiräbähnli

Josef Durrer already grew up here at 1200 m above sea level at the Spis farm and took over his parents' farm at a young age. He has always lived and worked the life above Oberrickenbach. His farm includes a lot of pasture land, which he now leases out. Meanwhile he is in a well-deserved retirement and besides his wife, the two children and a couple of cats it became quieter on the farm. Today he looks after both cable cars and welcomes hikers with pleasure. The lower section Fell - Spis cable car belongs to him and the upper one he manages for the Alpgenossenschaft. The Spis - Sinsgäu cable car stands out for its unusual cabin - a so-called "Niederberger Schiffli". These historic cable cars of the manufacturer Niederberger - today Inauen-Schätti - still travel through the air as a convertible and offer a lasting experience.

And for those who don't want to stop in, at least buy a piece of cheese to eat at home as a souvenir of the beautiful hike.
