Hiking with far-reaching view, breathing in fresh alpine air, giving your circulation new wellbeing, breathing in the scents of flowers, giving your senses new experiences: Over 500km of hiking trails invite to be discovered.
Medium-length and towards the end steep approach hike from Engelberg to the Spannorthütte SAC (1,956 m) in the Uri Alps.
From the entrance to the wildly romantic Surenental valley, the hiking trail meanders in a varied manner along the Engelberger Aa river. After a short rest at Alp Stäfeli, the previously comfortable path turns into an alpine trail that requires surefootedness. Arrived at the cozy SAC hut, you ask yourself the question: stay overnight, experience a beautiful sunset or hike back (the same way).
In the Alp Stäfeli you will be served traditional Swiss dishes and a fine Älpler - Kafi.
By car, take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then take the main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich or Bern.
