From Engelberg train station, the starting point of the Trübsee route, head to the valley station of the TITLIS cable car. To the left of the station, the paved Gerschnistrasse (expect construction traffic on the road) leads towards Untertrübsee. Gradually ascending, but protected from the sun by the forest, the road winds up to the Untertrübsee alp. There you will also find the first opportunity to stop for a break. Here the forest clears and reveals views of the mountain world. At the first junction, turn left onto a wide gravel path. Strong legs are required from here. The coarse gravel demands high levels of fitness and riding technique. The view of the Titlis and the knowledge that the crystal-clear Trübsee waits at the top to cool tired biker feet make you forget the effort. Once you see Trübsee, you have almost reached the elevation. In the distance, you can already see the mountain station of the Engelberg-Trübsee-Titlis gondola. On the right shore of Trübsee, follow the paved road towards the tour’s destination. Before returning to the valley, it is worth putting your feet up on one of the deck chairs on the large terrace of the Berghotel Trübsee and enjoying a cool drink with a view of the magnificent mountain scenery. Return to the valley and the starting point of the route via the same route.
