Fun natural trail from Gerschnialp down to Bänklialp and the Trail Arena
The singletrail starts at Gerschnialp above Engelberg. The flowing trail leads through the Gerschniwald, and the numerous steep wall turns make every biker's heart beat faster. All jumps and obstacles can be bypassed, ensuring fun for intermediate and advanced riders alike. The trail ends above the Hotel/Restaurant Bänklialp, from where you can ride back to the village over the road or further improve your bike skills at the Trail Arena – from trails over jumps to battery drops, an ideal playground from beginners to pros.
Getting there
You can reach the trail start most easily via the paved Gerschnistrasse (expect work traffic) through the forest, uphill towards Untertrübsee and further to Gerschnialp: Route Engelberg-Gerschnialp
In front of the Gasthaus Gerschnialp - Café Ritz, the path leads left down towards Engelberg to the Gerschniwald at the start of the trail.
The funicular to Gerschnialp offers only very limited transport capacity for mountain bikes.
