The Titlis funicular takes you from the TITLIS valley station up to Gerschnialp. From the top station you follow the road for a short distance until you reach the well-signposted starting point of the winter hiking trail. After a short time this leads to the first highlight of the tour, the Gerschniwald. Snow-covered fir trees, covered tree trunks and the crackling of snow under your shoes immerse you in a fairytale world. Once you have reached the edge of the forest near Schlegi, you pass through the open terrain along the Bitzistock. Here a view into the valley is recommended. Soon the mountain restaurant Untertrübsee appears in the distance, the end of the tour. In the restaurant Untertrübsee the Meringue with cream is an insider tip. It's worth planning a stop. The way back is the same.

Author’s recommendation

A must for everyone is a stop at the restaurant Untertrübsee for Meringue with cream.
