Did you know that sledging, or rather bobsledding, has a long tradition in Engelberg? In 1934 the two-man bobsleigh world championships were held here. On the competition track down from Gerschnialp, which was used at that time, a sledge run is still prepared every winter. There are other routes on Brunni and Fürenalp.
